Business Analyst, Rosemont, IL

We are looking for a Business Analyst for a direct hire position located in Rosemont, IL.

Responsibilities:

• Obtain and document business requirements involving interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, and task and workflow analysis. Translating them into specific software requirements.
• Translate conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers, the project team and key stakeholders.
• Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; clarify and redefine as necessary
• Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze usability and performance needs.
• Define and write detailed requirements
• Develops and utilizes standard templates to accurately and concisely write requirements and specifications
• Collaborate with project manager, project business owner, SMEs and vendors to determine project scope and define requirements
• Understanding of both technical designs and specifications.
• Define test strategy and perform user acceptance testing
• Coordinate meetings focused on requirements gathering, requirements walkthrough, test results and defect resolution
• Strong technical skills, business intelligence, and ability to understand the needs of the customer.
• Communicate with external clients and internal teams to deliver GUI, interface and screen designs.
• Interface between technology and business units.
• Evaluate change requests to project scope based on perceived benefits and the impact on project dates.
• The ability to develop testing plans, test scripts and conduct tests
• Maintain documentation for audit compliance requirements.
• Work with external customers and systems users to resolve questions/problems.
• The ability to develop training materials and train users on software.
• Project Manage small projects and assist with the development of business cases for projects.

Qualifications:

• Experience writing detailed software requirements for complex projects.
• Experience creating data and process flows/maps; prototypes and screen mock-ups.
• In-depth knowledge of business analyst principles and practices.
• Understanding of application development and software development life cycle concepts.
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
• Experience with Third Party Administrator and Vendor Management experience a plus
• Business analysis experience in cross-platform projects and multiple vendors
• Experience with MS Excel and other data technology experience (examples – Power BI, SQL, Access, etc.)
• Experience with Agile projects is a plus
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Business and collaboration skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, PPT)
